Reservation for Encodo

Picture

We couldn’t find the reservations the SBB had made for us on the first train (from Zürich to Biel/Bienne), but our wagon on the second train was easy to find.

Alex works for educo, a partner of ours and Pascal works for us now, whereas his brother, Patrick, used to work for us.

Walking Back from Lunch

The museum is connected to the cafeteria by a very long hallway that takes you through a very scholastic-feeling hallway dotted with university-style offices. For those of us who spent any amount of time in the halls of science buildings, it was a blast from the past.

Waiting for the Tour Guide

Picture

After a slide-show presentation and a short movie, we were instructed to wait for our real guide to show up; he never would, forcing us to commandeer the next small bus that showed up and ask it to drive us to the next building. The driver seemed to have no trouble dropping several people without official IDs off by themselves within the security perimeter.

We were never told what this was, leading to some pretty elaborate and wild conjecture about its possible nefarious purpose.

Before the Presentation

Picture

In the afternoon, our tour started with a short presentation with Herr Boeller, who would abandon us to our fate shortly thereafter. Back row (l. to r.): Pascal, Remo; front row (l. to r.): Kath, Alex, Karin, Marc, Tania, Frederik. (Marco was taking the picture and then took a nap, bragging that he knew everything already).
